Quick Post: "I am on a roll!"

Wow, I don't know what it is, But I am constantly getting ideas for movies! I'm still working o a 'Random Thoughts Outline' for The Sky's Lord and Champion but I can't go five minutes without a new idea popping into my head. Anyways I gotta go, still got more work to do!
Deuces!

"Deadlines!"

Alright, here goes, I am going to finish the first draft draft of my long cherished screenplay 'The "Sky's Lord and Champion". And if I don't finish it by February 13th, I hereby proclaim anyone reading this blog has the right to belittle my manhood however you see fit by any electronic means including email, Twitter, Facebook, IM, SMS, BBM, or even archaic conveyances such as smoke signals or semaphores...

...I just got a really bad feeling in the pit of my nuts.

"Aaaaaaaaand, Done!"

Hey guys! Just a quick update on my Action Movie "The Shadowflame Conspiracy" (Working Title), I'm halfway done doing the research and I have a very rough idea of the story. I just need to Stretch it out over three acts. That's right Stretch it out. This should be easier than the last movie I was writing where I had to "Cram it down" into one movie. I'm going to have fun building my story and polishing it up. I'm doing the outline as we speak. Anyways I got to go finish writing. Will update soon. Deuces.

"Just do it..."

Hey guys. Sorry it's taken so long for me to update. I've been working on my comics (which is pretty popular) and finding a job. I've been feeling guilty about not doing any screenwriting lately, so I decided to just suck it up, grow a pair, and just get it done! Talking about writing it isn't going to get it done. So I'm getting off my ass and writing another movie. I think I'm going to do my Action movie, I've been wanting to write one. I love watching them so I'm sure I'll have fun writing it. Anyways I got to go. Like I said, this movie won't write itself!

Rebirth...

Hey guys, I've got a good news bad news situation here. Bad news first, I've done some reading and it seams that since I don't own the rights to "Avatar: The Last Airbender", Paramount, Nickelodeon, and/or "Bryke" (Mike Konietzco & Brian DiMartino) could take my script from me and not pay me a cent if they wanted to. So unfortunately, I'm going to have to stop writing for a while. But that doesn't mean I'm giving up. Instead, I'll use this blog to write about my journey from Fanboy to film director. I'm not giving up on this movie, so I'm shelving the screenplay, but not The Avatar Project as a whole. I guarantee you no matter how long it takes I'm going to make a live-action Avatar movie, you have my word (and my bow, and my axe! :P). Anyways I might as well update now. I've asked around and found out about a company named 3ality digital that gives a course on 3D film-making. So I'll be saving my money and signing up when I can. Until then I've decided to write a movie for each of these genres: Superhero, Action, Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy, Thriller, Sci-Fi, Martial Arts, and a Musical to make sure that my screenwriting doesn't get stale. I guess I'll start with a Super Hero movie. I've always wanted to write one anyways! I'll update when I can, Deuces.

Divided we stand...

Hey guys! Long time no see! I've noticed something that's odd about how I'm writing my screenplay. Instead of writing it from page 1 to 120, I'm writing each act separately. Instead of writing Act 1, Act 2, Act 3, I write Act 1, do work on Act 2, start Act 3, do more work on Act 1, some on 3, 2, 3, 1, etc. I wonder if other screenwriters work that way. Anyways I'm satisfied with Act 1, And what I've got of Act 3, but Act 2 needs a LOT of work if it's going to be any good. I don't want to be a slave of the cartoon. The 1st act is the most faithful to the show in the entire movie, after that I go my own way. Geez, writing a movie is definitely harder than writing a comic book! Anyways I've got some work to do. Deuces.

"Tweet, Tweet, Tweet..."

Hey guys! First, let me say that I've gotten past a huge block for my Avatar script (which makes the movie flow better) so I'm gonna be writing like crazy. And I got the 3rd season of Avatar which means I'm pretty set in terms of source material. Anyways, Here's a a link to my twitter page where I update on my progress every now and then. I have to say that I'm feeling really excited right now. I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I've definitely got plenty of work to do.But I am so close to finishing the first draft that I can taste it. I've also been looking around for some good cameras. It's kind of difficult when you have no idea what to look for. Anyways I'm gonna finish writing. Deuces

Half Empty or Half Full?

Hey guys! I've got great news, as you guys probably guessed by the title, I've now completed the first half of Avatar: The Last Airbender! This is incredible because, well, I've now got three more episodes to write and I'll be done with the first draft! Ernest Hemingway (I think) Once said " The first draft of anything is shit." So ultimately this script is nowhere near as good as I'll think it is, which means I'll love the final draft. I'm feeling really good about The Avatar Project right now, I have no idea but I just felt like I had to write. Anyways, I'm going to watch the last of the episodes in my script. I'll update soon. And by the way, this glass is definitely half full! Deuces!

ANOTHER Quick Post: I just watched the trailer...

...and I don't feel the least bit threatened. I mean sure, it looks like they put their million dollar budget to good use, but I feel really good about my chances. Again, this is just a teaser, but I'm feeling great right now. Will update soon, Deuces

Quick Post: "THE LAST AIRBENDER" teaser trailer on Entertainment Tonight!

Hey guys, I'm doing a really quick update. I'm going to be watching the teaser trailer to M. Night Shyamalan's "The Last Airbender" and I don't think I've been this nervous in a LONG time. This trailer probably wont reveal that much about the film since it's just a teaser, and I know that the quality of the teaser trailer may not match the quality of the movie as a whole, but it should give me at the very least an idea of what my chances are for getting my Avatar movie made. Crossing my fingers! Deuces
